North Sumatra enjoys $951 million surplus in foreign trade

North Sumatra in the first quarter of 2009 enjoyed a surplus of US$951.13 million from its foreign trade.

"North Sumatra`s exports in the first quarter of 2009 stood at US$1.42 billion while its imports reached US$468.870 million," spokesman for the North Sumatra Office of the Central Statistics Board (BPS) Panusunan Siregar said here on Sunday.
