Indonesian shares closed the morning session higher on Friday after a rise in oil prices renewed buying interest in commodity stocks such as plantation companies and coal miners.
Light, sweet crude jumped $5.62 to settle at $121.18 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange on Thursday.
The market's rise was led by coal miner Bumi Resources, its peer Bukit Asam, tin miner Timah and plantation stock Astra Agro.
